ABOUT DENNIS

For seventeen years I served as the CEO of two award winning companies and six years as the first Chief Clinical Officer of the largest provider of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and related services to the behavioral health and social services sector. In 2017 I resurrected my consulting practice specializing in clinical information technology, management and operations and leadership and governance.

I have written, presented and podcasted on topics related to behavioral health, clinical information technology and measurement in healthcare for forty years. One of my passions is the issue of customer service in healthcare and its relationship to adherence/compliance to clinical regimens. I am co-inventor on a patent for a behavioral healthcare outcomes software product. Academically, I hold two Masters degrees (Psychology and Exercise Physiology) and a PhD in Counseling Psychology all from Ball State University.

I serve on several academic, non-profit and international boards and was a founding member of the International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership (IIMHL). I served in the United States Navy as an Aerospace Physiologist training, among others, members of TOPGUN in the physiological hazards of flight, as well as land and water survival. I am a licensed, instrument-rated private pilot and triathlete.
